County manager Trapp opened the manager'remarks portion of the Nov. 25 work session by recognizing Christine Wallace for receiving the North Carolina Assessor of the Year award from the state association of assessing officers. The manager asked commissioners to join in congratulating Wallace for the statewide honor.
Trapp also announced that a scientific countywide citizen survey is now live and available at harnettcountysurvey.org; staff said the survey will establish a baseline for performance management and help the county measure service delivery in future surveys.
Later in the meeting, the board approved a motion to enter closed session to instruct county staff on the negotiating position for the acquisition of real property pursuant to General Statute 143-318.11(a)(5). The motion was seconded, carried by voice vote and the board moved into closed session, then recessed and adjourned for the day.
