Council member Sid Gupta asked that the agenda explicitly call out funding for "last-mile" transit investments; Deputy City Manager Bianchi and staff said that language was added to highlight the challenge of last-mile connections in Sammamish. Deputy Mayor Amy Lam successfully asked that e-bike and scooter regulatory guidance be pulled out as a separate legislative item to raise the issues profile and seek a model ordinance or statewide guidance for local regulation.
Council member Pamela Stewart made the motion to approve the legislative agenda with the e-bike regulation section pulled into a separate item; Deputy Mayor Amy Lam seconded. The motion passed on a voice vote recorded as "Aye," with one council member saying "Nay." No detailed roll-call tally was provided in the meeting record.
