Hamilton County proclaims 'Her Cincinnati and Off the Streets Day' to honor women's recovery program

The Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners read a proclamation on Nov. 20 recognizing Her Cincinnati and its Off the Streets program for community service and recovery supports for women.
The proclamation noted Her Cincinnati’s history (described in the proclamation as formerly known as Cincinnati Union Bethel) and said the Off the Streets residential program, launched in 2006, provides trauma‑informed housing, counseling, education, workforce development and other supportive services for women recovering from substance use disorder and human trafficking. The proclamation said the program has served more than 2,000 women.
Diane Barnett, identified in the transcript as managing director of recovery services at Hearst Cincinnati, introduced Beth Schwartz, president and CEO, who thanked the board and described the organization’s work. Commissioners praised the organization’s work, noted prior town halls raising awareness of human trafficking, and took a photo with staff after the proclamation was read.
