Haley Negron appeared before the committee after a records review showed an OWI conviction (reported as dated March 2024 in testimony). Committee members asked whether Negron had completed required traffic-safety programs and whether she currently held a driver’s license. Negron said she has completed the traffic safety report and related requirements and currently does not have a driver’s license; she also said she recently returned to full-time employment and intended to use the operator license to work part time.
Dean Radis, a business owner and the applicant’s employer, provided a character reference saying Negron is trustworthy and a hard worker. After brief discussion, a motion to approve Negron’s operator license was moved and seconded; the committee voted in favor and the motion carried.
The committee then addressed Jacqueline Reyes’ application. Reyes was not present; staff said she called and requested holding the item until Jan. 20 because she works evenings. The committee voted to hold the application to the Jan. 20 meeting.
Next steps: Haley Negron’s operator license was approved by the committee. Jacqueline Reyes’ application will be considered at the Jan. 20 meeting.
