Authority staff briefed members on several redevelopment items and moved two agenda items into closed session for bargaining reasons under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(e).

Staff said the CDA would add $50,000 to the scope of services for Rambo American Engineering Solutions, Inc., to proceed with an additional environmental test in remediation work at 6500 West Washington (tax key numbers were read aloud). Staff noted the CDA had previously approved up to $150,000 for remediation work and that more increases were possible; the item was set for further discussion in closed session so the authority could consider recent findings and bargaining strategy.

Members were also told a development proposal from the Mandel Group (Lots 3 and 4 within the Six Points Farmer Market redevelopment area) would be discussed in closed session. Separately, staff relayed an unconfirmed inquiry about selling the Days Inn property along Highway 100 and rumors about an attached restaurant possibly converting to a liquor store; staff described anecdotal police/public-nuisance concerns and said the reports were unverified.

The authority moved into closed session for agenda items 4 and 5; roll call was taken and members entered closed session.
