The Lindbergh Schools administration presented the district’s annual performance report (APR) and its relationship to the Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP 6) during the Nov. 20 board meeting.
Dr. Tara Sparks, presenting the APR, said the district’s achievement-and-growth portion of the APR registered at 93.5% this year and noted the three-year composite sits at roughly 93%. "This 93.5% represents the achievement and growth data from our MAP assessments," Sparks said, and she told the board the composite will be used alongside one more year of non‑pilot data to inform accreditation status under MSIP 6.
Sparks walked the board through how APR points are allocated, explaining that points come from MAP achievement and growth, college-and-career-ready (CCR) measures (ACT, ASVAB, ACCUPLACER), Compass-plan alignment (about 30% of the APR), climate-and-culture surveys, and compliance items the state requires. She said the district earned 127 out of a possible 140 APR points and described how some building-level scores fluctuate year to year because of the way DESE calculates growth.
Sparks addressed CCR data timing: because ACT and other CCR data come from external vendors, district-reported CCR results appear with a one-year lag. She said efforts to encourage broader student participation (offering the ACT districtwide, and promoting ASVAB and ACCUPLACER) are intended to strengthen future CCR reporting.
Board members asked about making the APR materials easily available online; staff said a summary and a link to Sparks’ full report will be posted on the Lindbergh Schools website. No formal board action was taken; Sparks invited board members to submit follow-up questions and review the full APR documents in the board packet.
