Stacy Raker, speaking for the treasurer’s office, reported to the Ways and Means Committee that Peoria County completed its tax sale on Nov. 10. The office recorded 16 tax buyers and offered 2,101 real-estate parcels; 1,514 parcels sold to tax buyers and 587 went to the trustee’s account. Raker said the treasurer’s office is preparing its final distribution, scheduled for Dec. 4, with interest distributions to follow the week after.

The committee did not take additional action on the report. The treasurer provided the figures as part of routine financial reporting; the county will publish the final distribution when processed.
