CRA excuses member, approves consent agenda; next meeting Jan. 7

The CRA (Community Redevelopment Agency) board excused member Carol Hatten and unanimously approved the agency's consent agenda at a brief meeting in which no presentations were made.

The presiding officer called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance, after which roll call was taken and several members answered present. When Carol Hatten's absence was noted, the presiding officer asked for a motion to excuse her; an unidentified board member moved to excuse Hatten, a second was recorded, and the board voted in favor with all members saying "aye." The motion to excuse Hatten passed unanimously.

The board then confirmed there were no presentations on the agenda and asked whether any items should be pulled. No items were pulled. An unidentified member moved to approve the CRA consent agenda and another seconded; the motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.

During brief comments following the consent vote, the presiding officer thanked staff for a detailed report that included the number of arrests, saying the officers "have been very diligent" and that the report was "very packed." No board questions or requests for follow-up were recorded.

The presiding officer announced the next CRA meeting is scheduled for Jan. 7 and, with no further business, adjourned the meeting.
