The Lafayette City Council on Nov. 24 adopted the La Mirinda legislative framework, a regional legislative platform created with neighboring towns to advance shared priorities including transportation and infrastructure, disaster preparedness and wildfire readiness, property insurance, housing, and fiscal sustainability.
Staff and councilmembers described the framework as a continuation of prior collaborative efforts with Orinda and Moraga and said the joint approach is intended to align local positions and improve advocacy effectiveness at the state level. Council directed staff to continue organizing the subcommittee structure and return with any modifications during the next cycle; the framework was adopted by motion.
