The East Whittier City School District Board of Education completed its reorganization for 2026 by electing board officers and appointing representatives to several regional associations.

Board members elected Missus Debs as board president. The board also elected Mister Ortega as vice president and Mister Aparicio as board clerk for 2026. The board approved nominations for representatives to the county committee for school district organization, the Los Angeles County School Trustee Association (LACSTA/LAXDA), the Whittier Area School Trustee Association (WASDA) and the California School Boards Association (CSBA).

Those actions were presented as motions, seconded and approved by voice vote during the meeting.

The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Monday, Jan. 12 at Mulberry Elementary School and adjourned the district's final meeting of 2025.
