High Point Council continues public hearing on Project Ticket investment until Dec. 15

Mayor Pro Tem Bridal Moore opened a public hearing Dec. 1 on Project Ticket, a proposed expansion by an existing industry and Irish holding company to retool a Southwest High Point warehouse into manufacturing for RFID labels.
Peter Bishop, the city's Economic Development Director, told council the project would require $30,000,000 in new machinery and just under $1,000,000 in renovations at 2506 Sinclair Avenue. He said the operation would support 99 new jobs with an average wage of $62,250 and that staff recommended a local incentive of $300,000 spread over three years to support the project.
"This project will support the manufacture of RFID labels," Bishop said, noting the company was also considering locations in France and Vermont and hoped to decide by the end of the calendar year. Council members asked clarifying questions about site operations and whether existing warehouse uses would be relocated.
At the request of the applicant and to allow staff additional time for review, Mayor Pro Tem Bridal Moore moved to continue the public hearing to the Dec. 15, 2025 council meeting. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The public hearing will resume on Dec. 15; council and staff said they expect to consider the incentive request after the additional review and any required intergovernmental coordination.
