The chair announced that motion as by Miss Conoyer with a second by Mister Macias; the board approved it unanimously, 7–0.

The meeting record shows the board relied on Texas Government Code sections cited during the meeting (551.071, 551.074, 551.082) to justify closed-session discussion.
