The board approved several operational items affecting daily operations and campus safety.
SRO interlocal: Administration said it was time to renew the interlocal agreement with Lancaster County to keep deputy Dowhauer assigned full time to the district while school is in session; the board moved, seconded and approved the renewal.
Maintenance equipment: Facilities staff recommended buying a Ventrac tractor (with removable heated cab and power broom) for $53,319.36 to replace a 2005 John Deere. The presenter said roughly $33,319 will come from Shane's operational budget and $20,000 from depreciation tied to equipment replacement; the board approved the purchase and the district plans to sell the old equipment at auction.
Middle-school repairs: Facilities reported a leaking water softener, a failed expansion tank and two 500-gallon storage tanks needing replacement. Alleycap agreed to contribute $9,900 toward costs; the remaining district share was estimated at about $19,722 and the board approved moving forward with repairs. Administration said actual costs may be lower than the estimate when final invoices are received.
These approvals were presented as routine operational items; administrators said they will provide follow-up reports as work progresses.
