Norris School District officials on Monday presented a campus-wide facilities assessment and laid out next steps for community feedback and financial planning, telling about 80 residents that aging mechanical systems, building envelopes and site circulation problems are driving consideration of larger capital work.
Board President Jim Devine opened the meeting by framing the night as the first of three community workshops to identify critical needs, then introduced consultants from JEO Consulting Group and Hausman Construction and municipal adviser Northland Securities. "We—re at a crossroads," Devine said, noting the district is operating in buildings that are roughly 56 years old and requires modernization.
