Cleveland updates master fee schedule: cemetery permit and bulk water rate changes approved

The Cleveland City Council approved updates to the municipal master fee schedule on Dec. 9 that add a $20 cemetery marker permit fee and revise commercial bulk-water rates.
Pam Harrison presented the changes and said the $20 marker permit fee had been adopted by ordinance previously but omitted from the master fee schedule; staff corrected that omission. On bulk water, Harrison said the current (informational) rate the city had used was $29.71 for the first 2,000 gallons and $3.15 per 1,000 thereafter; the proposal presented to council increases the base to $250 for the first 2,000 (commercial usage) and $5.25 per 1,000 gallons thereafter. Harrison clarified that bulk-water sales are intended for commercial customers (construction, contractors) and will be available only during city business hours.
A council member asked whom businesses should contact to arrange bulk-water service; staff said the water department handles requests. Council moved to approve the master fee schedule updates; the motion carried 5–0.
