At its December session the West Oso ISD Board approved a series of routine items, recognized student achievements and received a foundation update.

Routine approvals: Trustees approved the consent agenda (minutes for 11/17/2025; investment and financial reports for 11/30/2025) and a motion to approve previously reported board continuing-education hours. The board also recognized employee organizations for the 2025–26 school year and designated 10 nonbusiness Public Information Act days for the 2026 calendar year. All those motions passed by voice vote, most 6-0.

Recognitions and foundation update: Board members recognized the West Oso High School girls and boys cross-country teams and praised student-athletes including District MVP Desiree Torres and state qualifier Sofia Torres. Administration reported the Education Foundation raised about $67,000 this year; AEP provided an unexpected $13,000 gift and will support the district mentoring program by providing staff mentors for high school students.

The superintendent also reminded trustees about upcoming campus events including a Polar Express program and distributed January 2026 campus calendars and athletic schedules.
