Staff presented a proposed 2026 meeting calendar and an interview and appointment schedule for Planning & Zoning and Civil Service. Council discussed meeting timing and accepted the calendar with no objections.

Council considered two Planning & Zoning vacancies (one incumbent, Melvin Bush, seeking reappointment, and one open seat). After discussion Council directed staff to interview applicants for the open position and to reappoint Melvin Bush to the Planning & Zoning Commission; one applicant who did not meet the one-year residency requirement was removed from consideration. Council also reviewed the timetable for civil service appointments and confirmed the proposed interview schedule.

Staff will proceed with the interviews and appointment process as directed.
