The board of trustees for Service Areas 6, 7, 8 and 9 met Dec. 3 and approved resolutions adopting the 2026 budgets for each service area, set public hearings to consider amendments to the 2025 budgets for Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 2:00 p.m. in this room and approved meeting minutes. No members of the public addressed the trustees at any of the four service-area hearings.
The votes were procedural and recorded by voice: motions to adopt each 2026 budget resolution were moved and seconded and trustees responded "aye." For each service area the board also set a Dec. 10 public hearing to consider amendments to the 2025 budget. Speaker 1 opened each service-area item, motions were moved (most often by Speaker 2 or Speaker 4) and votes were recorded as "aye" by the trustees present.
The proceedings contained little substantive debate. A brief exchange of informal remarks took place during the Service Area 9 session; Speaker 4 observed, "This is government government action," reflecting the routine nature of the agenda. The board adjourned each service-area meeting after business concluded.
The board scheduled public hearings for Dec. 10 at 2:00 p.m. in this room to consider any proposed amendments to the 2025 budgets for Service Areas 6, 7, 8 and 9.
Actions recorded in the meeting minutes include adoption of 2026 budget resolutions for Service Areas 6, 7, 8 and 9; approvals of minutes for each session; scheduling of Dec. 10 public hearings to consider 2025 budget amendments; and adjournments. No ordinances, contracts, appointments or contested votes were recorded during these items.
