For Project 2025‑11 staff reported four bidders with Connexco Inc. submitting the lowest total reported bid of $178,298; the board took the bids under advisement pending tabulation and review.
The board approved two construction agreements brought forward by highway staff. Commissioners authorized execution of a contract with Anakin Pressure Washing for polymeric bridge‑deck overlays with a not‑to‑exceed amount of $268,163.95 to be paid from bridge preservation funds; that project covers multiple bridges identified by staff. Separately, the board approved a contract for more invasive rigid bridge‑deck overlays at Bridges 108 and 227 with E & B Paving, not to exceed $243,880. Both motions passed by voice vote.
The board also approved an authorization for USI to perform deed‑of‑record searches needed for right‑of‑way conversion and dedication work tied to 2026 budgeted road conversions. That authorization carried with a not‑to‑exceed amount of $18,000 to be paid from gravel road conversion funds.
Bridge inspection and related services were continued with a call contract for BS Engineering to provide federally required bridge inspections and hourly services (oversized‑load analyses and other out‑of‑scope work); commissioners approved continuation of that call contract for 2026 and noted hourly rates vary by staff role.
