RZ‑191034 (applicant Tina Davis Thomason) requests rezoning of 6.39 acres from small‑ag to rural residential to facilitate subdivision into two residential lots; the tract contains an existing ~6,000 sq. ft. garage building that must be permitted as a single‑family dwelling upon subdivision. Staff recommended approval with the permitting condition; planning commission recommended approval (6‑0).
RZ‑191040 (applicant Wesley Babcock) seeks to rezone 12.81 acres from agricultural to small‑ag to split the property between family members; proposed tracts would be approximately 6.65 and 5.03 acres. Staff said the change aligns with comprehensive plan objectives for the East Pickens Conservation Area, and planning commission recommended approval (6‑0).
What’s next: Each case will appear on the board’s Dec. 15 agenda for final consideration; staff incorporated the planning commission record and recommended conditions into materials forwarded to the commission.
