San Bernardino advances plan to revive Youth Civic Engagement Council; local nonprofits back the move

Councilmembers praised the idea and moved to proceed with the selection and partnership discussions; the motion passed unanimously. Staff were asked to coordinate next steps with the school district and community partners.
The initiative was framed at the meeting as part of broader efforts to expand civic participation among young people and to connect local commissions and programs.
