Woodford County fiscal court approves ordinances, bond release and routine motions

The court approved a one‑year renewal with Johnson Controls for services at the detention center in the amount of $1,349.76 and carried multiple routine approvals for claims and transfers after questions about inventorying department tools were noted. The court unanimously approved a personnel order effecting the retirement of road supervisor Beau Wilson and voted to open and advertise the road‑supervisor position.
Laureland Estates: The court authorized release of bond funds totaling $57,929.55 to the Laureland Estates Homeowners Association to pay Mago Construction for paving completed to county specifications, authorized the judge to sign related documents, and directed the county attorney to draft an ordinance to adopt the road into the Woodford County road system contingent on meeting required dimensions and conditions.
Surplus and equipment: The court authorized listing a 2014 Jeep Compass for sale on GovDeals, declared a coroner’s Toshiba copier as electronic waste for proper disposal, and authorized staff to review a future lease for the coroner’s office with the option for email approval.
