Farmington Hills council approves consent agenda, OKs ambulance purchase and vehicle upfitting

The Farmington Hills City Council approved its consent agenda during the Dec. 8 meeting, enacting multiple routine procurement and administrative items in a single motion and passing them on a roll-call vote.
Items approved included:
• Removal and replacement of windows at the Nature Center to Regal 2 Regal Construction Inc. for $58,794.90 (CMR 12-25-176).
• Extension of the street-sweeping services agreement with G and M Enterprises (amount not to exceed the annual budget; optional extension) (CMR 12-25-177).
• Dump truck and pickup upfitting to Truck and Trailer Specialties for $413,770.86 (CMR 12-25-178).
• Award of a one-year proposal for youth theater services to Mitten Productions with an optional renewal (CMR 12-25-179).
• Purchase of an ambulance from Emergency Vehicle Plus (representing Horton) for $397,464 (CMR 12-25-180).
• Approval of city council minutes from Nov. 24, 2025 (study session and regular session).
A council member moved approval of the consent agenda; after support, the clerk called the roll. Councilmembers Boulware, Bridges, Dwyer, Knoll, Starkman, Aldrin and Mayor Rich each recorded "Yes." The chair thanked Mayor Pro Tem Dwyer for his service on the consent agenda item.
The approvals will allow staff to proceed with contracts and purchases as described in the agenda item codes listed above.
