Board approves minutes, revised budgets, calendar and multiple policy changes
Summary
The Saint Bernard Parish School Board unanimously approved incorporation of the Nov. 11 committee report, October minutes, the 2026–27 school calendar, revised 2025–26 budgets, and revisions to several district policies during the Nov. 18 meeting.
At its Nov. 18 regular meeting, the Saint Bernard Parish School Board approved several procedural and policy items by unanimous votes.
The board voted to incorporate the general committee meeting report of Nov. 11, 2025, into the November record (motion by Mister Warner; second by Miss Kriesen). It then approved the regular meeting minutes of Oct. 28, 2025 (mover: Mister Long; seconder: Mister Campbell). Both motions passed 10–0.
On fiscal and operational items, the board adopted the 2026–27 school calendar (mover: Mister Campbell; second: Mister Warner) and approved the revised general fund and special revenue budgets for 2025–26 following committee recommendation (mover: Miss Creason; second: Miss Dysart). Both measures passed unanimously.
The board also adopted committee-recommended revisions to school board policies GAAA, JAA, IDDF and IDDFC; each policy motion passed on unanimous voice votes. During the meeting the board publicly thanked district staff for administration of these items and expressed appreciation for the business department’s continuous financial reporting work.
