Chair Amanda Ballard opened the meeting by asking for and receiving a motion to approve the TDC minutes from Oct. 30, 2025. "Motion to approve," said Dan Diggins; the chair called for the ayes and the minutes were approved unanimously by voice vote (no roll-call tally was recorded).

The council then introduced Paul Hoback Jr. as the new president and CEO of Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ). Mark Stuckey, executive vice president and chief of staff for SRQ, said Hoback brings 25 years of airport leadership, including roles managing capital programs at the Allegheny County Airport Authority. "Paul brings 25 years of leadership experience in the aviation industry," Stuckey said.

Hoback, who said he had flown in from Pittsburgh the night before, thanked the council and described his eagerness to work with regional partners. "I pinch myself every day that I get to be here doing the work that I do at the airport and doing it with partners like each and every one of you," he said. Council members welcomed Hoback and described the region's strong recent airport growth.

No formal action was taken regarding SRQ leadership during the meeting; the introduction was informational. The meeting moved on to subsequent agenda items after the brief remarks.
