Acting as drainage trustees, Wright County supervisors reviewed drainage business including invoices, televising estimates and a petition to classify private tile as a district asset.
Trustees reviewed and approved drainage invoices for Henniger Construction and legal services that the clerk listed in the minutes (items read into the record totaling about $19,992.54 as reported). The trustees also discussed a petition (JDD111-3) that would establish existing private tile as district tile; the engineer’s estimate to televise roughly 6,360 feet of tile was listed as $33,760 and did not include jetting. Trustees noted the cost of televising would be borne by the petitioners if they asked to add the tile as a district asset.
Trustees agreed to set an informational landowner meeting on Dec. 15 at 10:00 a.m. so landowners in the affected sections can learn about classification and potential assessments. The board also joined a conference call with Franklin County staff about a joint district whose main tile lies in Franklin County; trustees agreed they need only be kept informed and will accept email updates unless a joint meeting is necessary.
The drainage trustees adjourned after taking the actions recorded in the minutes.
