Lakewood board approves consent agenda and multiple personnel resolutions; selects new treasurer to succeed Kent Zeman

After public comment the Lakewood Board of Education moved and seconded the consent agenda and recorded a roll-call vote; the chair's roll call showed Aye votes from Missus Katzenberger, Miss Shaughnessy, Miss Clark Sutton, Mister Callahan and Missus Donnan, carrying the motion.

In the human resources portion of the agenda the board adopted multiple resolutions on certified and classified hires and resignations, approved a resolution to abolish a position (administration said the union had been part of the discussion), and accepted certified and classified resignations including one certified resignation for retirement. Each of those items was moved and seconded and passed by recorded vote.

The board also voted to hire a new treasurer to replace retiring treasurer Kent Zeman. The motion passed on a requested single reading; the superintendent said the incoming treasurer, Megan Rohde, currently works in Bay Village and will be introduced at the next board meeting along with her family. No objections were recorded during the meeting.

The meeting adjourned after a final motion to close the session.
