Middleton Landmarks Commission names chair, vice chair and shifts regular meeting to 6:15 p.m.

The Middleton Landmarks Commission on April 23 appointed Sandy as chair and Elizabeth as vice chair and voted to change its regular meeting time to 6:15 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month.

During the opening of the meeting, members moved and seconded a combined nomination for both leadership positions. After confirming a quorum, the group voted by voice and the motion passed; the chair declared the motion passed. The change to the meeting schedule was proposed to make attendance easier for members who work or have childcare responsibilities. Charles and Elizabeth both said a later start would help: Charles said a 6 p.m. or 6:15 p.m. start “would be much better” for his family schedule, and Elizabeth said the later time works for her as a single parent.

Members also discussed current vacancies on the commission and noted a recent mayoral appointment to fill one seat (named as Germaine during the meeting). The commission agreed to update the meeting time on the city website.

The meeting adjourned later in the evening after the commission completed its agenda items.
