"We receive quarterly reports from each one of the agencies that we fund," Baker said, emphasizing oversight and site visits.
Baker said the board plans to grant between $1.1 million and $1.2 million in the upcoming year and has worked with grantees in advance so they understand the reduced budget outlook. He invited committee members to visit funded sites to see program impacts.
During Q&A Baker said funds support day programs, skills training to transition participants into the workforce, and recreational opportunities. No formal board actions were taken at the health committee meeting.
