Crosby ISD reports bilingual/ESL performance gains and reduced waiver submissions

Olmos noted professional development offerings for staff, ELPAC/ELPAC‑administrator training, and a target for teacher certification (e.g., four teachers to earn ESL certification by the end of the 24–25 year).
Olmos also said the district reduced planned bilingual/ESL waiver submissions from 24 in the prior year to a total of 18 for the coming year and described training and documentation steps to support compliance.
The presentation was informational; trustees asked clarifying questions about assessment year references and program balance, and Olmos confirmed numbers and instructional models.
