At its Nov. 19, 2025 meeting, the Mount Pleasant Zoning Board of Appeals approved the 2026 calendar, accepted staff communications, presented recognitions to longtime board members and adjourned.
The board discussed the posted 2026 calendar after being told there were no cases for the evening; no concerns were raised and a motion to post/approve the calendar was made and adopted by voice vote. A staff member announced an MSU Extension online training opportunity and asked interested board members to contact Kaylee to arrange scheduling and group rates.
Staff presented recognitions: the board acknowledged Pete Orlich for 13 years of dedicated service, citing his roles as chair and vice chair and thanking him for leadership and guidance. Orlich spoke briefly, thanking the city and fellow board members. Staff also noted that Laura Raisonin had resigned earlier for family reasons and thanked her for more than 10 years of service to the board.
The chair then entertained and accepted a motion to adjourn; the meeting ended following a voice vote.
