Board recognizes school psychologist and profiles principals during Oct. 28 meeting

The Lincoln Public Schools Board of Education used part of its Oct. 28 meeting to recognize staff achievements and highlight district events.
The board read a formal resolution congratulating Molly Kuhl for being named the 2025 Outstanding School Psychologist by the Nebraska School Psychologists Association; the resolution praised Kuhl's work building bridges between students, families and staff and noted her mentoring role for practicum students. The resolution indicated it would be signed by the superintendent and board president and the award would be delivered to Kuhl.
Kuhl accepted the recognition, thanked family and colleagues, and described her work across birth–21 services and specialized support in behavior-focused schools. In superintendent remarks, district leadership congratulated profiled principals Kathleen Daring (Cabot Elementary), Megan Kroll (North Star High School) and Gary Zappla (Moore Middle School) and highlighted district events such as the marching band invitational and upcoming state volleyball championships.
The board seconded and approved the resolution by roll call; members offered brief positive comments.
