The Lincoln Public Schools Board of Education voted on routine business and several grant and facility items during its Oct. 28 meeting.
The board approved the consent agenda as presented after a motion and second; Laura conducted the roll call and members answered in the affirmative. The consent agenda included routine approvals and minutes from the Oct. 14 meeting.
The board moved forward with two grant-related items. Staff described EducationQuest Foundation college access grant applications from Bryan Community and Lincoln Northeast High School; these grants provide multi-year funding for college-access activities such as financial aid nights, college trips and planning sessions. The board indicated the standard two-reading process will apply to those applications.
Board members also moved and seconded approval of the Lincoln High School pool unit replacement project; the motion passed by roll call. Separately, the board approved acceptance of a Nebraska Department of Water, Energy and Environment grant after a motion, second and roll-call vote recorded as affirmative.
No roll-call dissent or abstentions were recorded in the transcript for the items taken; the meeting record shows "Yes" responses from board members during roll calls for the actions above.
