The department also noted the communitys support for an $85 million bond that will fund capital projects and said it is developing a three-year strategic business plan aligned to city goals.
Walcott said DPR has expanded partnerships, increased sponsorships and is launching an out-of-school-time study to measure capacity and needs for non-school hours programming. Council members praised the departments integration of planning and operations and urged continued focus on access for historically underserved neighborhoods and on creative funding and partnership approaches for future projects.
