Mark Levandowski was elected president of the Tomball Independent School District Board of Trustees during the board’s Dec. 9 meeting, and trustees unanimously accepted the resignation of longtime member Tina Salem.
Board members opened nominations for the four officer positions after the presiding officer explained the election procedure. A trustee nominated Mark Levandowski for president; the nomination closed with no other names and Levandowski was elected by unanimous show of hands. The board then elected John Mixtravik as vice president, Dr. Michael Pratt as secretary and Amanda Bass as assistant secretary, each by unanimous vote.
The board used the reorganization process to thank outgoing leadership. Trustees offered tributes to Dr. Michael Pratt’s year as president and noted the work of other members in onboarding new trustees.
Later in the meeting trustees moved to accept the resignation of Trustee Tina Salem. The motion carried unanimously. In departing remarks, Salem said, "It has been truly an honor to serve this district for 24 years. And, Tomball will always be home." Several trustees responded with personal thanks and best wishes.
No roll‑call vote totals were read into the record for the officer elections or the resignation; each action was recorded as carrying unanimously.
