The resolution noted her years of service and community ties and directed that a copy be presented to her family and made part of the district minutes.
A second resolution honoring Dr. John E. Walls Jr., who died on Aug. 25, 2025, recognized his more than 25 years of service to the district in roles including counselor, assistant principal, principal and deputy superintendent. The board approved both resolutions by voice vote to present them to family members and include them in the official record.
The board’s action was ceremonial and intended to memorialize the contributions of both educators to the Vicksburg community.
