Administrator says Hamilton Township will switch aggregation supplier to Constellation for 12 months; highlights training and park project

Administrator Jeff Wright told the board the township's energy broker recommended switching the township aggregation to Constellation Energy on a 12-month contract because of volatility in energy markets. Wright said Duke Energy's distribution charges are unchanged and that residents who are enrolled can remain in the program or opt out without penalty. He recommended consumers consult neutral sources, citing energychoice.ohio.gov, and provided a Constellation contact number (833-831-8208) that was given in the township notice.
Wright also highlighted a recent multi-agency mass-casualty training exercise involving township fire and police, neighboring police and fire agencies and several local school districts. He praised the departments' planning and the opportunity to host and learn from outside agencies.
Separately, Wright described a public-works crew project to disassemble an underused gazebo, relocate it to Mounts Park, pour a concrete pad and reassemble it in-house to provide a low-cost amenity for residents.
Wright encouraged residents to be cautious of aggressive marketing by retail suppliers and to review neutral resources before switching suppliers.
