Fiscal Court approves $14,250 reduction in Middlebrook Subdivision erosion-control surety

The Oldham County Fiscal Court approved a request on Dec. 1 to reduce the erosion-control surety for Bridal Middlebrook Subdivision Section 1 after county engineer Jim Sullivan reported that onsite measures meet ordinance standards.
Sullivan said the developer posted an initial erosion-control surety of $28,500 upon starting construction and that, based on inspections and the ordinance allowance, up to a 50% reduction is permitted. "We're requesting the fiscal court approve a reduction in the amount of $14,250," Sullivan said. A magistrate moved to accept the recommendation; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The court record shows the reduction was made following a positive road-committee recommendation and county inspection; the judge recorded no opposition during the voice vote.
