The council voted to adopt Ordinance number 20 20 20, which amends prior rules to establish an auxiliary police unit for the Village of Fairfax and was declared an emergency so the measures could take effect immediately. The motion to suspend the three readings and adopt the ordinance passed on a roll-call vote; members present voted “aye.”
The council also approved a change order for the 2020 residential street-repaving project. The administrator described removal of an old roll curb on Arrow Pointe Way that damaged adjacent sidewalk and said the contractor agreed to replace the sidewalk at $8 per square foot instead…
