The North College Hill City Council handled several routine actions and discussed municipal service items at its meeting.
Motions and votes: Mister Wilson moved and Miss Gaston seconded a motion to excuse Councilmembers Underwood and Alexander for the evening; the motion passed on roll call 5–0. Miss Zorb moved to adopt the agenda, seconded by Mister Wilson; that motion passed 5–0. Miss Chichester moved to accept sets of minutes from several past meetings (Feb. 24, July 7, July 17, July 18, Aug. 4 and Aug. 18); Mister Wilson seconded and the motion passed 5–0.
Garbage cans and sanitation aesthetics: During old-business discussion councilmembers asked about earlier proposals to replace or update public trash receptacles. City Administrator Miss Duxton said she received notice from an entity that will replace caps on existing garbage cans for free and perform some repairs, which she said would improve aesthetics; she added the administration is coordinating delivery and installation. Councilmembers said full replacement of cans is costly; the administration said it intends to propose phased funding for new receptacles in the 2026 budget.
Executive session and adjournment: Miss Chichester moved to enter executive session to consider matters related to the appointment, employment, dismissal or investigation of public employees or officials and read a statutory provision cited from the Revised Code into the record. Miss Gaston seconded; roll call vote was 5–0 and the council moved into executive session. After returning, Miss Chichester moved to adjourn, Mister Wilson seconded and the meeting adjourned at 08:13 following a 5–0 vote.
No formal legislation was on the agenda for this meeting.
