Miss Dukstein presented WeThrive health outcome data for North College Hill (2019–2023), emphasizing that heart disease and cancer account for a large share of local mortality and that the city could pursue prevention-oriented amenities.
She described a national UCHealth fitness-court campaign that would provide equipment and installation funded through grant partners if the city commits appropriate land and upkeep. "They would be responsible for installation and equipment through the grant; we would be responsible for providing the land and upkeep," Dukstein said. She noted the program can draw foot traffic and urged committee members to review the packet and submit questions by email so UCHealth can respond.
The committee did not vote to accept or reject the proposal but agreed to collect questions and consider potential locations and next steps in subsequent meetings.
