County staff recommends four appointments to Public Safety Coordinating Council

County staff presented the Public Safety Coordinating Council (PSCC) interview results and recommended a four‑person slate for the board’s consideration.
Erin Calvert, assistant county administrator, said the interview subcommittee considered six applicants and recommended Jenny Gilmore Robinson, executive director of Cares Northwest, as the statutorily required representative from a victim‑serving agency. For three lay community member slots the panel recommended Melissa Laird, Deanna Palm and Yvette Zavala; Julie McLeod was described as an outstanding applicant who might remain engaged informally.
Calvert asked that the board direct staff to present formal appointment items at the board’s Dec. 16 business meeting. Commissioners present voiced support for the panel’s recommendations. The terms would begin Jan. 1, 2026 and run through Dec. 31, 2027.
