Levin, mayor of the city of Elmhurst, with great pride congratulate CJ Cohn on her impressive achievements this season," the proclamation read.
The mayor also read a proclamation for Carlin Janowski, a York sophomore who won the IHSA Class 3A cross‑country state title with a three‑mile time of 16 minutes, 10 seconds. "I, Scott M. Levin, mayor of the city of Elmhurst, with great pride congratulate Carlin Janowski on her impressive achievements this season," the proclamation said.
Both athletes received their proclamations and posed for photos while council members and attendees offered congratulations. The recognitions were ceremonial; no council action was required.
