Valley View CUSD 365U’s independent auditors presented the district’s annual financial report and issued a clean, unmodified opinion for the fiscal year. The auditor noted that the general fund experienced an operating decrease of about $5.5 million, further reduced by transfers, with an ending general fund balance reported at $101,900,000 for 2025. The audit package includes management’s discussion and analysis and detailed budgetary information; the board accepted the audit by roll call.

Later in the meeting Director of Finance Helen Romeo informed the board that the district received the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its annual comprehensive financial report (ACFR) for fiscal year 2024. Romeo introduced the finance team and described the ACFR as an accountability tool prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Board leaders thanked the finance staff and audit team for their work; the awards and the clean opinion were presented as evidence of strong financial stewardship.
