Medical Lake swears in municipal judge Richard Mount and appoints Patrick Clarity to parks board

At its Dec. 2 meeting the Medical Lake City Council swore in Richard Mount as the city's municipal court judge and approved a parks-board appointment.
Council recounted that a special meeting on Nov. 25 had been held for the sole purpose of appointing Richard Mount; Mount took the oath of office on the council dais, repeating the oath to support the U.S. Constitution and the constitution of the state of Washington and vowing to faithfully discharge the duties of the municipal‑court judge for the City of Medical Lake. Mount told the council he appreciated their confidence and said he looked forward to serving Medical Lake residents and helping the court operate smoothly.
Later in the agenda the council appointed Patrick Clarity to the Park and Recreation Advisory Board. Councilmembers noted that Clarity had interviewed previously as a council appointee and that they would sign the appointment letter.
