Parks staff also reported that a tagged trout was returned for a prize and that additional tagged trout remain in the lake.
Registration numbers for the city basketball program stand at 530 athletes across 43 teams, from the tiny‑tots level through ninth grade; staff said that level of participation is stretching gym and practice space.
To prepare for winter, most park restrooms will close for the season this Wednesday, with a subset of year‑round restrooms remaining open and portable restroom shelters provided at Memorial Park and Recreation Park playgrounds. The mayor's tree‑lighting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 5 at TBHANA Station at 6 p.m. Staff also said they will set up the ice rink on Dec. 8 to avoid weather‑related melt and damage.
Council members thanked staff for veterans events and asked no further questions.
