The Roseville City Council adopted a resolution to certify unpaid miscellaneous charges to the county for collection on property tax statements after a brief public hearing and no public comment.
Finance Director Michelle Petrick explained the two lists being certified: community-development nuisance abatements (mowing, snow removal, vehicle removal, etc.) and police false-alarm fees. She noted two properties paid since the meeting packet was published, which reduced the community-development subtotal. Petrick stated the updated community-development total as $8,160.51 and the police false-alarm total as $22,567.61.
With no members of the public speaking, Council Member Strahan moved and Council Member Schroeder seconded the resolution to certify the unpaid amounts as listed in the packet. The council voted unanimously to adopt the resolution and authorize certification of the amounts to Ramsey County for collection on property tax statements.
The action shifts unpaid municipal charges to property-tax collection as allowed under the city's processes and Ramsey County certification procedures; affected property owners retain whatever appeal or payment options the county and assessor provide.
