Duxbury High senior Mackenzie Kingston named superintendent's academic excellence recipient

At the Nov. 19 School Committee meeting, the superintendent announced Mackenzie Kingston of Duxbury High School as this year—s recipient of the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Certificate of Academic Excellence.
In remarks introducing the award, Speaker 5 praised Kingston—s academic performance, leadership roles (including student council and the superintendent—s advisory council), extracurricular service and plans to pursue pre-medical studies. "Mackenzie Kingston is an exceptional Duxbury High School scholar leader whose strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and deep commitment to others define her impact on the Duxbury school community," Speaker 5 said.
Kingston and family members were invited forward for brief congratulations from committee members and attendees before the meeting proceeded to other business.
