The South Washington County Schools board approved a tentative collective-bargaining agreement with the South Washington County Principals Association covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.
Abby Baker, executive director of human resources and operations, presented the agreement and summarized its economic terms: a 2% salary increase effective July 1, 2025, and a second 2% increase effective July 1, 2026; longevity pay of $350 per year after 10 years of service in the bargaining unit; a maximum $9,800 health-insurance contribution effective Jan. 1, 2026; and increases in the district contribution to high-deductible health plans effective Jan. 1, 2027 (the transcript lists both a 9% increase and an 8% increase to district contributions on high-deductible plans in adjacent lines; the administration’s presentation appears to describe graduated changes to the district contribution). Baker also noted a salary-band adjustment moving the senior-high activities director to the assistant-principal senior-high salary band and a reduction in maximum vacation payout from 20 days to 10 days per year. "Members of the bargaining unit approved the tentative agreement on 11/05/2025," Baker said.
Administration recommended approval. A motion to approve was made (moved by Shinn, seconded by Simi) and the board voted 'Aye'; the motion passed. The transcript records the motion and passage but does not include a numeric roll-call tally.
The tentative agreement will take effect per the dates listed in the agreement; the transcript does not record further implementation steps or funding-source breakdowns beyond the listed contribution and pay changes.
