Regional outreach underway on Southgate Annex and other surplus federal properties

In addition, the Hampton Roads Alliance is conducting outreach at the federal level to the Department of Defense about potential surplus property and installations across the region, including Southgate Annex, Oceana Naval Air Station and St. Julian's Creek in Chesapeake. Staff said the alliance will meet in Washington in December to discuss regional approaches and that local meetings with shipyard leadership are being arranged.
